What's your colour?

When you choose a colour try to think how it will look against your skin tone and your hair colour. That is the most important element. Then think about the fabric colours that you wear and whether it will mix and match. If your favourite winter coat is black then a contrasting bright colour might work, if it's patterned then perhaps a neutral would be better.

Finally, think about trim colour, for example if you always wear red lipstick, then a poppy red trim to the edge looks really effective. Blues and greys always look great with blue eyes and yellow can look stunning against dark skin.

All colours are the friends of their neighbours and the lovers of their opposites.

What's your size?

Measuring your head couldn't be easier. If you have any doubts about doing this, give me a call and I can talk you through the process.

* Sit down, legs uncrossed

*Take tape measure and put around the head at the widest point - above the ears, across the forehead.

* Take measurement in inches - not too tight, not too loose. Think how you would like the hat to feel on your head. There should be space for one finger between the measure and your head.

* Your head measurement will be somewhere between 21 inches and 23 inches. Write it down to the nearest quarter inch.
