Q: Can I get a hat custom designed?
A: Yes, I can create a unique hat just for you. The process starts with a design consultation where you discuss your ideas in person either at my London studio or via email. Payment is made in advance then I will make the hat to your specifications. You will get pictures and updates by email along the way.
Q: I need a hat for a wedding but I don't suit hats, can you help?
A: Yes, absolutely. Everyone has a style of hat that suits them. It's part of my service to advise on the type of hats that will suit your face shape. I can also advise on the colours that might complement your skintone and hair colour. Feel free to get in touch for more details.
Q: Can you match a hat to my dress?
A: Possibly. I can certainly make a hat to compliment your dress. If you send a fabric swatch or a photo, I will advise on colour, fabric and trim and together we can complete your outfit. Please refer to the colour card listed under colours and sizes.
Q: How do I wear my hat?
A: A cocktail hat will attach with millinery elastic. Firstly look how the model is wearing the hat in the photos and position your hat in a similar way. Take the elastic and place it around the back of your head, style hair to cover the elastic. Remember to try different ways of positioning your hat and wear it however you feel looks best and is comfortable.
Q: How long will it take for my hat to arrive?

A: All hats are handmade by me once you place an order. There are many stages to to making a hat. Blocking, shaping, trimming and finishing, as your hat is handmade not mass produced or factory made it can take up to 21 days to make. However it will often be less. Contact Dawn for advice.
A: UK Special Delivery costs £9 for the first item and £1 per extra item in the same delivery. International tracked and sIgned for £20 and £5 per extra item. Your hat is fully insured against loss or damage in transit and must be signed for on receipt, therefore cannot be sent to P.O box addresses.
You are responsible for any duties, customs charges and/or taxes levied at the point of entry into destination country.
Your hat is packaged securely in acid free tissue and a sturdy box or hat box.
